Annual Kickball Tournament

Held at Ottumwa City softball fields at the corner of Hwy 63 & 34

15 player roster - everyone kicks
10 players on the field - at least 5 females at all times
Must be 18 to play

Avenue of Flags

Help turn your community Red, White & Blue
Get your Avenue of Flags subscription, the Ottumwa Noon Lions will place a flag in your yard, from dawn to dusk, on the following 5 holidays:

  • Memorial Day

  • Flag Day

  • Fourth of July

  • Labor Day

  • Veteran’s Day

Ottumwa Noon Lions Club does all of the work for you! We provide the flag, the in ground holder, and erect and remove the flags on each of the listed holidays. Our cloth flags are manufactured in Iowa, and assembled by Ottumwa Noon Lions. Your flag purchase supports the Ottumwa Noon Lions Club’s service and community projects.

Cost:  $50 annually (Participants will be billed annually to renew their agreement to participate.)

Salvation Army Bell Ringing​

The bell ringing season starts each November and runs through Christmas Eve, when the red kettles are packed away for the season. Volunteers are the difference between an empty kettle and one that raises about $30 per hour – enough to provide a family with two bags of groceries, or shelter an individual for a night

Pancake Breakfasts

All proceeds will benefit the Ottumwa Noon Lions Club - we provide FREE eye exams to all preschool-age children and also assistance with eye exams, eyeglasses and hearing aids for those who can't afford it. 100% of money we raise goes directly back into the community!

Other volunteering opportunities include, but are not limited to: Helping at Octoberfest, RAGBRAI, City Cleanups, Wapello County 4H Expo, providing youth vision screenings & much more!
